About me My name is Ulrike Thamm-Friedebach, and I have been working as a freelance translator since 2013. In September 2013, I completed my studies at the Institute of Applied Linguistics and Translatology (IALT) at University Leipzig with a master’s degree. I started my freelance career in Dresden, where I was publically appointed and officially sworn in as a translator for the English language by the Oberlandesgericht (Higher Regional Court) in 2014. In the following years, I also taught English at Volkshochschule Dresden, an adult education centre. In 2017, I relocated to Munich, where I am still working for agencies and direct customers. I love how versatile my job is – I handle many different types of documents, from contracts, certificates and references to medical reports and training materials, marketing content and instruction manuals. For both translation and revision, my aim is to promptly present my clients with a flawless text that is tailored to their specific needs. CV
